Default Building an Engine. Need Help.

I have a basic 6.0 block and I am wanting to do something with it. Is it worth building it into a 408 stroker or just building the 6.0. Right now my car has a ls1 in it and need help deciding what will be the best. Or should I just sell the block and just build the ls1. I am wanting around 550rwhp, and my car will be used for street/strip. It is an auto, but I am thinking about making it an m6. Any advice would be much appreciated.

If you really want that 550 number, your best bet is going to be the 408. Even then, it's going to be a stretch unless you get very expensive top of the line ****.

Whats your budget? This will dictate weather you go all motor, spray, or boost.

It's up to you whether or not it's worth it. If you're dead set on making 550 whp, then yeah it's worth it as the extra displacement will make it easier to accomplish that goal, but it will cost considerably more.

On the flip side, you can build a 370 for considerably less by using the stock crank and rods. 550 whp through an auto with that small of an engine isn't impossible, but it takes a well thought out combo, a little more RPM, and may require some trial and error with different cams/manifolds/etc to get there.

You could just spray the either the ls1 or 6.0 and reach 550 rather easily and very cheap
