So, I took the heads off, and exhaust off my LS2. Cleaned up the coolant that spilled into the cylinders and got sidetracked. Its been sitting in my garage uncovered for like 2 months. I was planning on draining the oil out as it has mixed and draining the coolant, before I install my cam and start putting the motor back together.

Is there anything specific I should do first or make sure to do aside from new fluids?

I figure it all will be fine just draining the pan but figured I should ask before I do put it back together.

anyways thanks guys

I would make sure you blow out all bolt holes.

OK.....so why did you take the heads off.....did you have a blown head gasket?

The ls2 had 243 heads and I am putting ls3 heads on it to facilitate putting the lsa supercharger on. Once I get the heads from the machine shop I'll be able to put the engine back together while I wait for my refund to buy the vette/5th gen belt setup
