Here's the Flow Chart for FRH LS3 heads:-)

Here we go let the games begin this is why I need a new style head how much further can I go
RHS stage 1 is just a little better with raised runner and 12*deg. Valve angle so let's compare. As stated I LOVE heads and I would like another set but at the present moment it's really not worth it....Tim you told me this about a yr back aka 87 Gray hatchback (change intake, new heads, rockers etc....)
This is my own flow sheet, notice flow keeps going over .700 no stalling like all other aftermarket heads, all factory .....= dirt cheap.

The stage one uses the stock valve sizes of 2.165/1.59

Int. 2.165

.200/159
.300/237
.400/282
.500/338
.600/368
.700/388
.750/390

Ex 1.590

.200/120
.300/190
.400/225
.500/242
.600/250
.700/255
.750/257

Now this is what I found posted:

Small bore program is 269.5cc, 2.155 intake valve and 1.600 ex. Flowed on a 4.070 bore. Remember that the RHS heads have a longer intake port to compensate for it being raised on the flange. Meaning that a 269.5cc RHS port is close to the same as a 255-260cc port in a stock head.

FRH 269.5cc port with a 2.155 intake valve and a 1.600 exhaust valve, flowed on a 4.070

Intake flow
.200/163
.300/239
.400/295
.500/341
.600/377
.650/383
.700/392

Exhaust flow without a pipe.
.200/117
.300/160
.400/208
.500/229
.600/243
.700/245

Enjoy:-)
BTW : someone needs to make me a canted valve LS3 head that can surpass these, I'm cool with buying shaft mounted rockers if they out perform these with a 4.065 test bore. Total cost was $1525 for bare heads that were ported including cost of buying heads.

Flowin good...

Are these the LS3 heads that can use the ls7 intake manifold?

lil john 01-13-2015 10:04 AM

Naw just the stock heads I bought back in 08 for 175 each. I went with Chris because my cam was over 700 and no one showed me there flow above 700 with there stage one programs most that I researched, stalled or required me to go to a stage2/3 program. I'm using the Vic Jr intake and wanted to keep the runner as small as possible as I'm losing some Tq with the intake package as it is. The stage2"s flow up to 400.
This was all with heads that didn't cost over 400 bucks.

I've been looking hard at sending my ls3 heads in for this. It's hard to justify buying tfs, prc, or mast after seeing Frank's cnc program.

JS01 01-13-2015 10:34 AM

So did you get them flowed yourself or is that the sheet you got from FRH. 390cfm head should make some good power after what I saw with a set of 365cfm LS3 heads. They dont back up all the way to 1.00" lift kind of like these.

lil john 01-13-2015 10:50 AM

That's my flow sheet, I also had them flowed @ SAM * Chris Bennet verified 370+ @ .650 lift he had wanted to test them and said : There real :-) it was done using 4.065 bore.
I never stated that they go to 1 inch of lift so stay on what was typed. My cam is 757 lift and my heads go to 750 lift I'm not worried about any number after .750

JS01 01-13-2015 11:16 AM

I meant if they made it to .750" they will probably stable to higher than that. They seem to back up the worst at .650" ish and yours made it past that. My cam is only .750" too but I would worry about what they do past that even if the valve wont be open that far.

Hi LJ,

You sure were getting steamed up with KCS, did you remove the posts, or did the Mod delete them?

Whats with it with that guy, very opinionated in my opinion.

Seeing as you love cylinder heads so much have you ever heard of Higgin's Race head in Melbourne Australia? You will see that they have a USA office, which is run by his partner John.

http://www.higginsraceheads.com.au/

He is offering to do me a custom set of Ls7 style cylinder heads with small ports and only a 2.200 inlet valve that he guarantees will make a minimum of 780 BHP at 8,000 rpm with my engine spec's or money back!

The thing is Nathan Higgin's has been porting road racing cylinder for the very best Australian V8 Supercar's, and they make an unbelievable 660BHP and 475 Ft lbs of torque with 10.1 maximum compression and are rev limited to a maximum of 7,500 RPM, from a maximum capacity of 311 ci. using E85 pump fuel

These numbers are based on actual fact's and independently verified under V8SC parity rules, so no bullshit stuff. The key to these engines is the wide torque spread 5,000-7,000 rpm and the part throttle response so critical to getting off slow corners with out frying the tyre's as traction control is strictly forbidden, so its all down to the driver squeezing on the power until they are pretty much pointing in a straight line!

I spoke to one of my ex staff members who is now working for a top V8SC team and he say's that whilst Nathan's head's don't make any more power, however the engine accelerates harder than with any other cylinder head combination than they have run back to back.

I am very tempted to take Nathan up on his offer as I can alway's sell 'shit' that doe's not work for me, and so other than time and a bit of money I think for US$3,250 its probably worth the gamble.

Cheer's,

Mark.

^^^ good info.

lil john 01-13-2015 10:55 PM

Yeah when I did post some of the things about project Thanos him and Boss Hogg always had something negative every time so I took it down. (Mars @ Tick told me about them both way back) But I told him and Boss that I am a felon and playing games is for kids..So they come on and talk BS. But fact is he doesn't want to race. Hell I even offered as a kind gesture to take him to lunch....All I get is he's not coming to the ghetto, and I stay in a area where the cheapest house is listed at min of $90,000(mines paid for). Or some BS about my drug dealing friends. And I work for a living/ Army Vet. That's cool but I'm looking forward to seeing him at any track in the Houston area.( I told boss hog that I know Slim Thug and quite a few of the Real Boss Hogg Outlawz and that I be in that area he says he's from...and know it Very Well)....never heard from again but he can feel free to do as he likes. Computer Gangsters behind a computer monitor.
I understand KCS is always looking 2 mock me. I also understand he may not like me but I tried to be cool with him . But if you notice if I post something he has some bullshit every time. I stay in the same city asked did he want to race? No... Asked him did he want to do lunch? No. So Y does he always get on and fuck with me???? Answer is he's a Hater, he wanted to buy my crank about a yr and 1/2 ago when I thought about selling it, but told him he could buy the whole set up block, crank and rods this is all while we never got along. KCS is a computer gangster towards me, he has good info so why hate. Think about this I can and could get him the same hook up like me, said he didn't need it but wanted to buy my crank. I spoke to my buddy who runs the shop and told him that I got a few people that may need parts that I talk to on here. J stated: some I may be able to help get your kind of prices some will pay just a little more than you cause I need to make$ and I ship world wide. I already knew this as when the C5R block was the hot ticket he bought 25 (it was really 15 didn't want misrepresent my friend so I called him this morning) of them and sold them to guys in Germany for there Stock car race program @ a helluva mark up(. So why hate if anything I could help his hating ass:-) My drug dealing friends have crazy cars and J knows everyone @ the track so why fuck with me and you go to the track. I have nothing against him but typing bullshit towards someone you have know clue about is crazy.

At this point I just want to meet him person 2 person.

Here's another one he got on the technical section speaking about JE's asymmetrical pistons he saw at the PRI show. Hell I did a whole post about them back around April or May and was 1st of the first on this site to have them. That 's why I got on his thread and gave him a part number and told him there great....He's playing Heinz 57 or catch up to me and I have nowhere near as many post or been on here nowhere near as long, but I know WAY more people in this business.......he suffers from the little guy complex .......You guy's know what I mean when a new guy shows up who knows a few tricks he hates cause the spotlight is not on him. He doesn't even have a reputably head porter to give flow numbers.... but he hates. Sounds like some female insecurities to me. KCS take your heads up to SAM and bring back some info that we can use. Oh your using home ported heads l would keep that info tucked away to. Did you call Johnson lifter and ask about bearing less hyd roller lifters before anyone thought about them or this news flash I spoke with Jason @ TSP about canted valve LS3 heads that we can still use our normal intakes with ( as they made there own LS3 heads). You dream of things that, I try to make happen. As they say a close mouth don't' get fed. Your looking real thin right now. Have a Snicker :-)What heads do you own BTW or do you need the JE asymmetrical piston's as your behind me. Real talk. Find out who is Rocko Parker and get his main line to talk. Here's a hint he works for General Motors.

lil john 01-13-2015 11:21 PM

I know of Higgy and spoke with them, kind of the same ole thing they do great work but it's on par with the best head porters CNC programs. I would like, as much as I don't want to say it, is a head like the Ford camp. Like these:

RCS/CHI 3V248 custom port work on bare CHI heads.

Valve Lift /Intake Flow /Exhaust Flow
.300 228 142
.400 293 186
.500 350 217
.600. 380 244
.700. 397 260
.800. 400 272
.900 400 280
This from a port size of 248cc's then I'd be happy about getting some new heads. The port is tiny in comparison to what I'm working with now.:-)
Also put them at a price that is affordable for the masses not just the .1% who's willing to pay $5000 for a bare set of heads. $3200 would be fine with me and ready for parts.
