Default Oil bypass valve in pan

Do u need this running vvt? Installed holley302-2 pan on my ly6 . It does not have a bypass valve .

It's only for Active Fuel Management (cylinder shut-down) so you don't need it. The VVT is on the cam gear.

Bypass valve IN the pan? Do you mean , pressure relief valve?

Yes the valve in the pan . I read somewhere this was needed for vvt/afm there was one in my old pan so just wanted to make sure I didn't need it. I think it was brp they sell their pan with or without. I know about vvt I also know it runs on oil pressure so it got me thinking.
