Default What to use

I am looking for information on parts and things to do to my 2006 pontiac gto with the LS2 to get more horsepower I'm not looking for a lot of power just enough to get close to maxing out the transmitions limit. So I'm looking for cams, headers, intakes, throttle body's, heads, tricks to do to get just na power from the car and I'm well aware that tuning it will be a must. Looking for a good set up to get about 500 to 600 hp and where to get the parts from.

How much are you truly wanting to spend. Head work or aftermarket heads, cam, headers and new exhaust system, new intake, but the main thing will be your cam choice and what you do for heads. You can get a custom cam made for your particular engine have your heads ported and you could be close, then intake ( fast) and a decent aftermarket header system.

You should give a couple places a call: Advanced Induction or Frankenstein for head work, Tick or Pat G. for a custom ground cam and matching springs. This is the best place to start cam 1st that way when you get the heads done you can have your springs installed.

My budget is open I'm just looking for places to buy the parts from and the brand of parts to buy and if possible part numbers I work a napa/ repair shop so just looking for brands and numbers as far a price I can judge it on quality and what not like I said I don't want this 800hp monster. Also can I get away with using the stock heads and what can I do to them to let the motor breath

Give Brian Tooley a call and or the other names listed above. I want to cry right now my truck is running hot head gasket or the darn intake gasket damn Ford.
If you know what your wanting as far as power the names that were listed can put you Exactly there, but knowing what you want is key.

When you say maxing out the transmissions limit, do you mean the maximum limitation of the "stock" trans? Or the max limitation of a fully upgraded or "built" transmission of the same model?

And are we talking 4L65E, or T56? Pretty much anything more than stock will put you on borrowed time on the stock trans or clutch.

The standard stuff to make a GTO faster pretty much consists of CAI, cam kit, headers, and exhaust. If you want to go farther, you can spring for heads, but they can get very expensive. If its an auto, get a stall. Even with nothing else done, that will make the car faster.

Pontiacman06, i would recommend Tony Mamo as well. He is very good at getting every little bit of power out of any ls engine. His head, cam, and intake combos are deadly.

A mamo combo will definitely get you where you want to be at. He did a 407ci LS2 in popular hot rodding some years back using the afr 215 heads and a cam around 242 duration. Motor made 618 horses at the crank.

Default 500 RWHP Package

Agree with the last 3 posters contact Tony Mamo @ Mamomotorsports
My suggestion MMS220 cylinder heads MAMOFIED (lighter valves
Hand finished etc.) Fast 102 MAMOFIED (ported) LS2 TB ported by
... Lol, with velocity ring (fits behind TB eliminates gap between fast 102
And 90 mm tb) easier to tune! Save cost of 102 TB you don't need below
550+ RWHP Cam something like~ 231/235 114+3, 1 7/8 ARH LTs
Ram/Cold air intake!
Good dual exhaust. And all the LITTLE DETAILS!
