Trouble shooting LS2 problem Have an 07 Trailblazer SS with aluminum 6.0, when engine is cold it idles quit as can be , soon as it gets up to temp it has a pretty loud tic from valve train , this is my wife's car , engine is completely stock with 135,000 miles, runs good, what I have done so far and have not corrected this problem is
Replaces lifters with Ls7 lifters. Cam didn't look to have any damage and old lifters looked good and all rollers were good.
Changed oil pickup O ring along with new Texas Speed ls6 pump, have about 42-45 psi at idle and maybe a little more at speed ,
What I have done has made it s little better but still not right, it sounds like a single location on the driver side, listening to it and years or racing experience I can tell it's In the valve train for sure.
I'm just stumped at what to do next, I have read where maybe going to a 7.350 pushrod might help . From 0 lash I have 1.5 turns on the bolt to 22lbs.
Tick is at idle and cruising down the road when you let off the gas pedal is rattles.
Any ideas let me know
