cam help I just bought a lg motorsports G5X3 cam. 236/242 610 114 motor is stick except for a few bolt ons. Will this cam have any issues without some after market heads. Do I need to fly cut the pistons?
You will need to change valve springs for that cam.
You maybe able to squeak by without fly cutting the pistons but you should check piston to valve clearance, you want to have at list .060 on the exhaust, with stick shift you want .090
If you have to fly cut, them is a good time to mill .050 off the heads to gain about a point of compression.
