Default LS3 vs LSA Cast Numbers
Are the cast numbers on the blocks the same between the LSA and LS3? The engine I just received shows the number 12621766. I haven't gone down to check about oil squirters and I couldn't find any solid info

Nope for 2012 catalog Ls3/L92: 12623967
LSA:12623968 all from 2012 they may have changed the #'s since then but they are for sure different. Hope this helps.

I cracked mine open and found these inside. So they either changed the #'s or these are aftermarket in an LS3 block. Either way, I have the piston squirters as told so I'm happy
