Can this iron block be fixed?

Looks like it needs another sleeve. Is that just the water jacket opening at the top?

Should be able to be fixed with a custom stepped sleeve.

Get another good iron block. If it were aluminum it could be fixed but the cost would probably not make it worth the effort.

Hi Steve,

'Blazeracer' should be grateful for your comments, there may be other people with your cylinder block experience but I suggest they would be few and far between, even in a country as big the USA.

One thing that irks me with the odd poster on this thread is that they post a question, get several well meant answers, and don't even bother to to come back on and say thanks. Some I suspect don't want to hear their worst fears confirmed but a little etiquette would go along way.
