press fit rods
press fit rods so im a bit confused on one of these rods i have.. they are floating pin/bushed rods but since two rods that i have have spun i decided to look at my stash and found a set of rods that are very similarl ( clearances and weight are very very close) but there is a discontinuation in the flat side in one of them and it also has more "flat surface". Think ill run into any issues running these rods with a rod that doesnt have the discontinuation/bigger flat surface?

The interruption in the cheek is just for helping oil get out of the journal in a directed manner while allowing for tight side clearances. We cut notches like that into rods on purpose for some specific applications...no, you can run those rods together no problem - just check that the big end bore is on size, they're usually pretty poorly machined from GM.
