Thoughts about this cam I got this cam with an engine i bought thinking about putting it in my 6.2l escalade (fbo and 2800stall) and getting another custom grind for my v. It's 229/231 611/617 112lsa. Would it be worth the time while the engine is out to swap it.
Doesn't seem like a good cam for the square port heads you have, they usually have alot more split and looser LSA.
Will you gain power by putting that thing in over the stock cam? Sure. Is it optimal for your application? Not really.
I would try and sell that then get one that's made for your setup even if it's a cheap off the shelf LS3 cam.
