Default Pontiac G8 cam selection

Ive got a 2008 G8 with stock L76/6L80e/2:92 diff, engine is currently stock, plan is to fit 4into 1 headers and free flowing exhaust, camshaft, plus springs etc, and cold air induction plus a good mafless tune, its my daily driver so i plan to keep stock stally and diff gears.....

Question is what is the biggest cam people are using with stock stally? What power are they makeing at the tyres?

I want a cam with some lump but still have reasonable drivability,
After some revomendations?

So what you're saying is that performance is NOT a priority?

If it were.....I'd suggest gears and a mild stall (maybe 3.70's and 2600 stall).

The resulting setup will net you better gas mileage, better drivability and better performance than sticking a 'lumpy' cam in an otherwise stock G8.

Jus' sayin'........

The 219/223 112 cam Rick offers has been showing great results and is designed to work on stock stall. I agree, putting in a big cam is going to make a heavy car like the G8 go slower. Peak powers mean **** unless your car is designed to run only high rpm. I am trying the 219/223 on cam motion lobes as we speak.

Best way to reach Rick is through his Facebook page. How I reached him to modify my intake manifold.
