LS2 Rod Orientation
I guess the short version of the question is, does the rod orientation matter when using stock LS2 rods and crank (with undercuts rather than fillets)?
The long version: I've just assembled my rotating assembly. I went with the traditional machined chamfer in big end bore toward the crank counterweight. I.e rods facing in opposite directions on each journal. This seemed most logical at the time, and I didn't have any other information to hand.
Since then I've read that GM actually assembled these engines with the rods all facing in the same direction?
If it doesn't matter, I'll leave it as it is. Or should I swap them around?

If it doesn't matter, I'll leave it as they are. Some of the rods had chamfers in both sides of the bore, some only had it on one side depending on the accuracy of the powder forgings.
If there's no offset in the rods, then I can't see that it would make any difference. The only thing I can see is the difference in the shape of the pads, and the bump about 2/3 the way along the beam.
