If you want the PCV in the valley cover (LS6 style), you need the LS2/LS3/LS7 cover. Obviously, there's no knock sensor holes, which you don't need on an LS2 block, but there's also o-rings to stop the flow of oil from the AFM towers in the valley. I know the LS2 doesn't have AFM, but those towers are in the block, and they need to be blocked somehow. Also worth noting is that the LS2 doesn't use a PCV valve while the LS6 does. The LS2 has a smaller hole in the outlet of the valley cover to control the flow.
If for whatever reason you want the PCV in the valve cover, you need the valley cover for a gen 4 4.8 truck engine. It only has the o-rings.
