Im getting the .660" valve springs from BTR and hopefully get those rockers with the upgrade. Yeah i plan on running some juice. the 2 inch will fit? I mean without rubbing. The ls1 valve covers won't fit with the Ls3 heads right? someone had said they do fit. Not sure tho. Next week I'm taking the block to get worked on. Finally moving this thing.

Yeah the turn around isn't that bad either. Glad I'm finally going to get the ball rolling.

1 7/8" and 2" headers will fit but they do take up some real estate. That being said, pay very close attention to where all your wires are running. I had all my wires tucked away nicely but after I put a new truck starter in I somehow screwed up the routing and ended up burning the hot wire going to the starter on the header and created a nice hole in my brand new, gorgeous headers. BTW, a starter wire with about a half inch burned out of the middle doesn't work as good as you'd think. One day they'll make them with bluetooth technology. To my credit, I may have been drinking when I did this. After this, I wire loomed everything and put heat shielding over the loom. Trust me, it's worth the extra time. Since we're talking about wires, the ground coming off the battery that connected to the back of the LS1 block is not there on the 6.0 liter block. I cut mine down and grounded it to the passenger side head. All is well.

The LS1 valve covers will not fit over the LS3 valve train. You can cut up the LS1 covers and make them work but there was a reason that I decided I didn't like it. I may or may not have had a few beverages so I can't remember what said reason is. Sorry. At any rate, I found a set of new LS3 covers in the for sale section and again, all is well.

Give Texas Speed a call! We can set you up with a great combo for rotating assembly as well as a camshaft that will make the power!

Yeah not bad, turn around he said 3 weeks. Gives me time to get the final parts. What do you have in there now? For the LS2 timing chain, which would you recommend? I look it up and different ones pop up. Brand wise and all.
