Default Another pushrod question

Hey all, just hoping for some confirmation on my pushrod choice

L92/comp camps 281LRR HR13 (231/247 .624 113)/.050 decked off the heads/lunati tie bar lifters

I bought 7.350 pushrods at a guess, i think they are too long. I have just done a zero lash check, i get 7.255 so i think 7.300 would be ideal given they require .045-.050 preload.

The only thing that has me second guessing myself is that when the pushrod starts to preload it seems to do so very easily for a little but and then gets significantly harder to depress. I have done my measurement with zero preload and im just making sure i shouldn't be taking up that initial slack

Also what would be the possible consequences of running the 7.350 pushrods, even if just for a while?

Thanks

Going off what you stated for your needed preload, you will be risking lifter failure and accelerated wear on your cam with too much preload.

Yeah, way too much preload for those lifters. Don't run it. Lunati/Morel lifters are recommended 0.02-0.04" preload, so aim for 0.03".
