Default cam decision

Need opinions on which cam to install in my car. I'm not a cam guru so I will leave it up to you guys. My car is a 06 GTO m6 with 24,xxx miles. Mods are 1 3/4" kooks with hi-flow cats, h-pipe, 4" magnapacks, mgw-p shifter, Monster 2 clutch assembly, p&p throttle body and ported manifold. Dyno results 370/374 100% humidity.
Going to install new LS3 heads, which will be worked by AI(280cc) and install new LS3 manifold with injectors and fuel rail. Heads will be milled .030" while using .040" gaskets and fly cutting .050" valve reliefs.

I've been spec'd three different cams.

1) Comp Cam - 222/242+2 duration
.6018/.6154 lift
IVO 1
IVC 43
EVO 57
EVC -5
overlap 4
ICL 112
LSA 114

2) Comp Cam 228/238 duration
.612/.610 lift
IVO 5
IVC 43
EVO 54
EVC 4
ICL 109
LSA 112

3) Cam Motion 230/238 113+3 custom lobes? 8620 grade chrome moly steel
.626/626
IVO 5
IVC 45
EVO 55
EVC 3
8 overlap
ICL 110
LSA 113

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not gonna comment on which of the cam choices is 'best', but I will say that if I were getting AI heads, I'd have AI spec me a cam for my....consideration.

Also....those 280cc heads are waaaay too mush head for a stock displacement LS2/3 engine and they are waaaay too much head for those cams.

From AI's web site: "The 280cc version is also preferable for high RPM power, or high displacement builds."

All that said.....I wish you the best of luck!!

My son is talking to Phil with AI about doing his heads on his 09 G8 GT. Kevin told him which cam he has which is 223/232 RCR cam by Cam Motion. Al said to do the 280cc version so the car would pick up 20-30 hp and way more torque. Al told my son that he recommends the 280cc for the LS3 head/6.0 combo.

I agree with KW, 280 CC is a Huge Port for a 6.0, especially a heavy
DD. That said I like Cam Motion Cams and would lean towards the
223*/232* in the other car mentioned. The 230*/238* would be
better in a more strip oriented application.
Not an expert, Just my .02.

While I never had rectangle port heads I have ran that 230/238 cam in a ls2 with ported 799s and it was a great performer with power from idle to about 6200rpms which worked with a 6500rpm shift point.

FYI cam motion can grind the cam any way you want so if you decide on different specs just talk to Kip and he can fix you up that way you still get the better quality product.

I think I'm going with the 230/238 cam. This cam is a custom spec'd for my car, which is a LS3 head, m6, by Pat G. I've heard some great things about cam motion and Pat G. Some of the local racers around here said Cam Motion is by far the best cams. I just needed to check out a few feedbacks before making my decision.

Thanks guys for your input.
