Spacer or Shim for Harmonic Balancer?

Spacer or Shim for Harmonic Balancer? I have a LQ4 that has all Gen IV internals (crank, pistons, timing set, etc). I started it up for the 1st time last weekend and for some reason the belt is slipping off of the balancer 1 rib (it sits flush at the front of the balancer after it slips). It doesn't move past that point. I'm running all F body accessories except for a Y body power steering pump because that's what the ICT Billet brackets called for.
Is there any way that I can shim the balancer out to bring it back in line with the rest of the pulleys? I've read about the friction washer that came on the LS2-3 balancers, but my LS1 balancer doesn't have a groove for it.
