Default Anyone here using a TSP 225/230 ?

Hi all,

I have been recommended a TSP 225/230 .629"/.615" 111 for my lq4 build. It has l92 heads, standard transmission. Heads will be milled .015". Intake will be a victor JR carb'd with a 750. Gonna try and go 1 7/8 headers. Going in a 3300ish lb 73 camaro. Any reviews on this cam ? It was recommended to me by texas speed and I just want to confirm with other users that this setup will work, more opinions cant hurt. I want a street and strip cam and dont mind a lumpier idle. Cheers

I'm no expert on cams (or anything else, really), and it would probably be best for you to go with what was recommended, but from what I have seen, most rectangle port cams have a little heavier exhaust bias than that. Like I said, I don't know ****, but with only 5* of exhaust bias, it looks like a cathedral port cam.

Call Martin Smallwood... he IS an expert (possibly THE expert) on cams.

That's very similar to another popular grind 226/230 that EPS and many other companies have. Doesn't quite seem like the right cam for a rectangular port head, those usually like a bit more exhaust duration.

TSP has tons of options for the LS3-L92 engine setups. The 225-230 is a nice camshaft that has great driveability & you get honest engine dyno data from that exact camshaft. If you want something a little more aggressive there's roughly 10+ different LS3 specific camshafts in stock @ TSP!!

If you get a TSP camshaft you also get a camshaft built on a top $ camshaft core & cnc machined to your exact specs.

No worrying about camshaft peeling, camshaft squealing etc!
