I'm upgrading to a tick sns 237/242 cam while it's out. .

It has.631 lift and I read that .630 was the max for using stock rocker arms.

Do i need 1.7 or 1 8 roller rockers?

Is there any power to be gained by a roller rocker upgrade?

Not really. I would roll with the stockers and a trunion upgrade.

This.

I would definitely NOT get the Comp needle bearing so-called rocker arm "upgrade".

Use these. MUCH better. You can keep your stock bolts or use their allen head caps screws, your choice.

I'm having my ported 243s milled while they are out and also considering upgrading the valves to 2.02 and 1.57.

How much can the heads be milled while keeping the 7.40 pushrods?

Also, will the 2.02 and 1.57 valves work fine with the oe valve seats? Or are new valve seats needed? Does any bowl work need to be done to get a power increase?

My ls7 lifters have under 10,000 miles on them...along with my prc dual valve springs and 5/16 moly rods, trays, and oil pump.

Would it be ok to re use my lifters, pushrods, trays, springs and melling oil pump...even though I threw a rod out the side of the block?

Also, would anybody recommend using morel lifters over the Ls7s...and using thicker pushrods? Im upgrading to a 230/240 ish cam over the 228/232

A friend of mine keeps having issues with his lifters...but he is 1/2 mile racing his vette trying to hit 200 mph also.

Let me get this straight. The ls2 uses a different kind of pcv system that gets used internally by baffles etc.

So I will not need an external pcv system like on the ls1...right?

So I will still be able to run my Fast 102 intake manifold, but have to run a U hose correct?
