Default Instruction sheet for degreeing a cam
Does anybody have the instructions for degreeing a cam with the heads off? I am installing new cam in LS3 and have the Comp Cams degree wheel kit 249-4294. Only instructions are for performing with heads installed. I want to complete it with the "heads off". If anybody has the instructions or can walk me through it here, that would be great. I was able to determine crank TDC with the wheel, but then what? I've checked YouTube and nothing there. (Unless I missed something) been searching for a while. Plz & Thx.

It's the same as with the heads on, you're just measuring directly off the lobe or lifter.

Double chck your PN, did you mean 4942?
