Yea that old thing money, I got a DUI and everything is on hold for me so I'm now a dreamer. Still working but well over 10 grand in fees and court cost. I've still got the LME 416 short block with out accessories or the pan.

KCS, lets say you had a 468ci LSx with a very healthy hydraulic roller cam. How much of a HP difference do think there'd be between the MAST 295cc cathedral heads and the MAST 305cc heads?

Actually.....the Mast 305 heads have a 295cc intake port. Don't know why they call it a "305" head.....

Still.....they have some pretty gaudy flow numbers!!

Yeah, they don't show the flow numbers for the 295cc heads.

Yeah. I'm thinking the only real difference between the 295cc cathedral heads and the LS7 '305' heads is the intake manifold you'll be using.

Head performance would probably, pretty much be a wash.

It's really hard to say because those are two different ports, so the 295cc port could actually be larger than the 305cc port in terms of cross sectional area, which is what really matters.

I would expect that the 295cc and 305cc head would be pretty close in terms of peak power, but the LS7 port would hang onto the power later after peak than the cathedral port due to the better angle of approach that the LS7 port has. That could be a big deal in a combo topped with a carb style manifold or a Hi-Ram, but my be less significant in a long runner FAST manifold.

Now that's a damn good looking program there for the money. What cubic inch is the heads going on?

Phonix- I think if you went with a rectangular port on a motor that size you'll need a lot of rear gear to get it u into the powerband.

Sorry about the non sponsor link. It's a 416 Lq4, I called and we talked yesterday also with a email with some special work wanted done (*rolling the heads for a reduced valve angle besides lowering the CC for a bump in compression and what ever he wanted to do to them for a high compression solid roller) and sent them today. Luckily Darin had some time for me too do his Magic.

I just bought a pair of NIB GM Performance CNCd LS9 heads off Fleabay for $1400.....they may not be FRH quality but for that kind of coin.....I'm good with the deal.....nothing like getting a nice set of Ti valves for next to nothing......anyone want to buy a set of NIB LSA heads and some hollow stem Ferria valves?

I stumbled across the Frankenstein Edelbrock Reaper heads, and I think they may be the baddest stet of LS7 heads on the planet.
