Default LS2 with l92 heads

I'm in the process of swapping out my 243 heads for some 823 l92 heads. I'm planning on sending the heads off to Advanced Induction for their performance rebuild.

I know that these heads run better with a small cam, I plan on getting Pat G to spec one out for me. This is my first time actually modifying an engine. I'm not sure on how much I should shave the heads or which valve spring set to go with?

My engine is a stock LS2/t56 out of an 06 gto that will be going into my 71 Chevelle.

Since Patrick is going to spec a cam for you, he would be the guy to ask about what springs and how much to mill the heads.

I had my LS3 heads done at Advanced Inductions (Phil is a great guy to communicate with) and I had Pat G spec'd my cam. Just fill out his cam form the best you can. He will spec a cam for what you want.

I have a lq4 6.0l with ls3 heads milled .030, .040 head gaskets,prc 675 eht valve springs. About 10.5 to 1 compression. Victor jr intake. Small cam 223 227 .610 int .613 exh. 110+2.
It made 477rwhp and ran a best of 11.12 @ 121.06. If that helps you!

That's one healthy 6.0. How much hp do you attribute to using the Victor Jr? What is the cc's on the heads by milling them .030"?

Not sure on how much hp is do to the victor jr. I haven't run anything else. My heads were 64cc. I'm about to try a different cam from SRD. I'm hoping to pick up a about 20 more hp thru out the curve. We'll see !! I want to run 10.80's 10.90's.

I just got my custom cam specs from pat g, and I'm in the process of contacting Advanced Induction for their performance rebuild package, while I'm at it, is it worth the cost of swappping out the l92 intake valves for the lighter LS3 intake valves?

Depends on the cam. Lighter valvetrain is always a good thing, but you may not see a benefit if the lobes are slow and soft and you aren't turning much RPM. Again, this would be a good question for Pat since he spec'd the cam.

I would say yes. My son swap to LS3 valves, on his G8 GT, when he had Advanced Inductions do his heads back in the springtime.
