Default Gm performance oil pump red or blue Oring?

I have a 07 gen iv from a silverado 5.3l alluminum 58x lh6 dod motor. I'm doing a dod delete and adding a gm performance high volume pump I bought from jegs they haven't gotten back to me. It came with a small blue Oring, but my stock pump had a large red Oring between the pickup tube and pump? Which do I use? So confusing? 17801830 is the gm part number says it fits all except la9, ls7

Try them both and use whichever one provides the tighter fit. FWIW, melling supplies two orings, one black and one blue. They tell you to use the one that corresponds to the inlet of the oil pickup tube (GM had different designs). I tried out both just to see how they felt and there was a noticeably better (more snug) fit with the thicker o-ring.

oring choice is based off of whatever pickup tube you are using. If your still using the oem truck pickup then the red o-ring that came on it originally is the one you need.

^^This.

The o-ring is particular to the pick-up tube. You cannot switch. You need a new red o-ring.
