416ci ls3 Ticking on cold cold start...
416ci ls3 Ticking on cold cold start... SO my motor ever since I swapped it from my 93 z28 to this car ticks on cols start (sitting for 12+ Hours). and you can also hear a faint noise under hard braking. But as soon as the motor hits about 120+* it stops . its crazy lol
I have:
Changed Lifters
Checked pushrod length
Changed oil several times.
Now my question... This motor was in a horrible wreck in my 93z. Nothing on the mntor broke. Buut it got banged up pretty good. Is there a possibility of something from the wreck causing it to do that? I literally pulled the motor out of the 93, replaced gaskets, and threw it in this car. NOTHING Changed. I did have the heads ported more but they didn't get milled or anything .
I'm at a loss here. I don't really care that it ticks, but I don't want it to cause problems down the road... the car has to sit for 12+ Hours for it to do it.
