To the OP, it looks like you have a very fun build coming along! I too was entertaining a LS3 setup in my C5 Z06 before selling recently. There are many camshafts to choose from on the market, and making the power goal you are shooting for on stock cubes is certainly achievable. FWIW, we have made north of 470rwhp with the Kaotik on most every stock LS3 car with just a good cold air intake and 1-7/8" longtube headers, even in the 5th gen Camaro platforms. This camshaft drives extremely well even with the stock 3.42 gears in such a light car like your C5 Z06 and will give an aggressive idle and power gains you are shooting for.
