LS2 Build need help

Default LS2 Build need help

I've got a short block with rotating assembly I would like to keep stock bottom end is it possible to get 500 at flywheel I'm looking for a semi daily driver and want to run pump gas I'll need Heads,Cam and intake.What should I be looking for.

500 horse at the flywheel is easy to have.
Cheapest way... get a set of 243 heads then send them off to TEA or Advanced Induction.
Get a cam matched to the heads depending on who port the heads. Brian Tooley , Patrick G, and Martin Smallwood comes to mind..pick one.
A LS6 intake will get you there to meet your goals the cheapest.
Long tube headers are a must.

Otherwise if you got some more cash you can get close to 600 with a aftermarket head such as a AFR or TFS head with a Fast intake.

This engine will be installed in a jeep I will not have room for long tube headers can i make LS3 manifolds work I would love over 500 for a little more money as long as I can run pump gas

I understand. I would try getting a the cylinder heads with a nitrous exhaust port. Help get some air out the motor. Also contact Pat G for a custom cam. You GO NEED A GOOD BIT MORE OF EXHAUST DURATION THAN NORMAL.
What's your budget for cylinder heads ?

is this for an off-roading jeep? If so, I'd be more worried about bottom end torque than hp

With a set of small PRC 227 heads and a tiny 223/229 cam and a FAST intake I was able to achieve 445rwhp and 440rwtq, which means about 530hp at the crank. The short block is untouched LS2 in a 2006 GTO.

The best thing about it is it sounds and drives like a stock car.

It will be more street driving but yes I do go off road I was thinking of putting the 92mm fast intake on it.

I'm looking for a good cam and intake combination I was thinking of finding intake from Trail Blazer SS to give a littler more torque
