Pontiac G8 LS3???
The G8 GTP came with the LS3 engine.
The question here is whether GM stamped the LS3 block with a partial part number and whther the OP can find that part number on the block.
For instance, the Gen-2 SBC engine block (LT1 and LT4) was stamped with the number "327" on the block. It was the best way to determine if in fact the block was a LT1 or if it was the 'baby-LT1'.....the 4.3L L99 engine that came in a lot of Caprices from 1994-1996.
So.....does the LS3 block have any specific group of numbers/letters stamped onto it?
