Weird Lc9 problems
ljms stage 2 twin turbo cam (dot to dot)
Verified timing 3 times at 105 degrees with cyl 1 rocker arms pulled and a piston stop.
My problem is.... With everything set correctly, it may as well be a Honda.
1 month later, I said to hell with it and threw a bunch of timing at it. I went from 105 degrees on the trigger angle to the "normalish" range of 85 degrees.
It woke up... But it still feels a lil flat.
I've read on here that some Dod engines with aftermarket cams installed dot to dot, Will end up being about 8 degrees retarded.
That may be my missing power..
My question is, in the event of a retarded cam, will throwing timing at it, help it to a certain point?
I'm using megasquirt, I don't know if you're familiar with it. But, you can change the trigger angle. Finding tdc on the balancer requires a value of 105 degrees. It has nothing power wise at that setting.
With a value of 85 degrees, the car feels alot closer to the 6.0 that came out.
