Wow looks awesome! I'm wondering what duty cycle your getting? I have the same cam without the 1.8's and I have been looking at up to a 110 ids at near 6800 rpm. Ill be yanking my 42's real soon unless I can get by with some more rail pressure somehow. I'm thinking of crimping the return line a bit. lol. Jetting it?

Excellent numbers, especially with your compression ratio and that camshaft. I’d bet that throttle response is asphalt ripping strong.

An update on the oil pressure and the Melling 10355 oil pump. With the high volume pump alone my pressure was dipping under 20psi on the OEM sender and around mid 20s on the mechanical at 200 degrees.To raise the pressure, I swapped out the pull style fan on my oil cooler to a push style. This got me around 4-5 psi at 200 degrees. Next I switched to Lucas 20w50, after verifying with Johnson that the short travel lifters wouldn't have any issue with the heavier oil. Now at 215 degrees, the OEM sender is 24-27 and the mechanical is low 30s. Cold start has gone to 65 from 60.

To finish the build I just upgraded the suspension to Pedders Supercar Coilovers. Now I have a lot to play with this fall at the track, new engine and new suspension. These are dual adjustment coilovers with a remote reservoir canister. Compression can be set from 1-30 on the canister and rebound can be adjusted on the top of the shock, also from 1-30.

It seems like you have the full +200 rwhp mamo ls7 package. But the shape of the pistons and 10 degrees smaller cam hurt you 100 rwhp? I think that is a lot because the dyno dous not show a huge torque gain down under. I would try the mamo cam

Fell a little short of the 550-600 goal but I know the reverse dome pistons (18CCR )are hurting me some, that plus the new cam isn't very aggressive, as was pointed out above. So there's some future improvements that can be made in those areas.

There’s an easy 45 ft lbs. and 75 hp left in that engine, with compression and a camshaft. But it prolly drives great, and if he’s not chasing numbers, let it be.

Sweet baby jesus, I have no doubt thats an expensive 545whp. The torque is really low though, all things considered. A 400” LS with 11:1 compression should clear 500ft-lbs easily. Are you sure you don’t have a dead cylinder?
It looks to me like ERL sold you a power adder shortblock. Oil pressure shouldn’t be that low. I have the 10355 on my iron block 440” engine and oil pressure doesn’t ever fall below 60psi, even when hot. Your clearances are probably set pretty loose and get worse as the aluminum block heats up. It shouldn’t hurt anything so I wouldn’t stress over it, but loose clearances and 18cc dished pistons are for a 1000whp boosted/nitrous engine

Ed Curtis is great. Smart guy no doubt. Eric knows these big engines inside and out, as they are his design. He’s brilliant, no doubt, and I will use him in the future for a short block. BUT...nobody knows Tony’s heads like Tony himself, and it’s always a good thing when the guy who designed your portwork/intake tract specs your camshaft. Goes together like peanut butter and jelly.

HPR 486 underway
From HPR today: "Block is hitting the machines today, sleeves are in and it should start getting clearanced today, surfaced tomorrow then in-line for cylinder hone. Started to lay out the table for the pistons and rods today as well. Crank has been balanced and cleaned so once the block is done (probably mid to late next week) then we can start assembly. "
