Default LS2 with ls3 heads forged piston

I'm in the process of swapping in an 06 LS2 out of an 06 gto into my 70 Chevelle. I got a pretty good deal on the engine and tranny, but I never seen it run. I've inspected the engine while it was on a stand and everything looks good visually.

But I'm at the point where I'm almost ready to install the engine for good and start it up. I have L92 823 heads that I installed some Brian Tooley springs into and I had Pat G spec a cam for the stock LS2 with those heads. I also have a forged lQ4 that I was building that already had the crank pinned and balanced.

I'm thinking about going through the ls2 fresh rods and bearings and using the crank and forged rods from the LQ4 and buying forged pistons with valve reliefs for the l92 heads so that I can run a better cam. This will be a street car, who makes a forged 4.005 piston that works with l92 heads?

Contact TSP. It was a great choice to have Patrick G. spec the cam. He has stellap results with L92 port heads. It would be a really good idea to upgrade those heads with LS3 hollow stem intake valves. Much easier to control. my .02

Mahle power pak is a great setup with a brand new badass ring pak. Affordable and offer alot of std features that other brands have as options.
Works with a 6.125 rod and stock stroke.

I think I'm going to go with these pistons, https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mle-l92105005f04

Summit has a pretty good deal on them at the moment. I had a my crank from an lq4 pinned and balanced for eagle rods and similar Mahle pistons in my lq4. After getting this crank balanced with the new pistons will I be able to use the lq4 crank in my LS2? The Ls2 is from an 06 gto so it has a 24x reluctor wheel

We have a better price on them and better tech support.
You can use your crank in your new block with no issue.
