What's my engine worth?
No front accessories (Water pump included), No sensors, No coilpacks
11.1:1 compression 402 cube LS2 - ~18,000 miles since built - zero issues. Have all the parts to do a head swap, but considering building a new shortblock instead as I think the cost difference will be the same as honing and re-ringing my block. To do the head swap I need some machine work done to match the bore to the chamber, so it has to come all the way apart.
Includes:
GM LS2 Block honed 4.005
LS3 intake w/ rod mod done by GPI w/ rails and LS3 injectors and LS2 TB
Factory LS3 heads with hollow stem valves
Comp dual valvesprings, Comp 226/242 on 117 +5 cam
Diamond flat top forged pistons w/ moly skirts and ceramic barrier tops
Callies compstar rods
24x Callies 4" magnum crankshaft
Fbody LS1 oil pan, ported LS2 oil pump
Clevite tri-coated bearings
Engine made 470 rwhp/450 ft lb of torque on 91 octane. Just ran 11.18 at 127mph in my rx7. I daily this thing with no issues.
Would include build sheet with the engine. Meticulously built and blue-printed.
I would keep the engine in the car until someone wanted to buy it...offer to let them drive it even. This isn't a random engine sitting on a tire in the shed kind of sale.
Think I could get $5500?
