Default Cam lift

Hi all, can you put a .600 lift can in a L9H 6.2 ?
close to a LS3 but with VVT and no AFM.
is there enough PTV clearance ?

You can put more than that in there but ideally .600 should be the max.
Nearly all of TSPs vvt cams have at least .600 lift.
Why not give those cyl heads more room to flow?

Default VVT Motor Tech

Hi AL1, the P/V has to do with LSA, NOT Lobe Lift.
What is you LSA ?

The VVT motor needs to have limiters installed with MAX Advance measured for P/V distance.
I ONLY Advance cam position with the VVT Motor with HARD STOPS SET at the desired Cam Timing.
The REASON is the ability for the VVT Motor to drive the cam forward is limited in HP.
THUS more spring pressure = MORE cam drive HP.

I sell the proper timing chain, crank sprocket, limiters, and spring installation tool.

With PTV concerns, it's more important to look at when the valves are opening & closing than looking at lift.

I'm not running a VVT valvetrain, but the LS3 in my Impala has .668 lift with no issues at all.

Generically, I use overlap to guess at PTV concerns. Duration, LSA, etc, it all leads to overlap. Peak lift is when the piston is way away from TDC.
