Default Push rod length?

So I am measuring for push rod length and coming out with 13.5 rotations with the length checker. So 13.5 x .05 + 6.8 + .05 for preload =7.5375
So which pushrod length do i use a 7.525 and be a little short or a 7.550 and be a little long. 02 Camaro SS with stock bore LS1. I have prc 225 as cast heads, ls7 lifters, a 239/244 | .635”/.610” | LSA112+3 cam and stock lifters. Also .051 head gaskets.

Thanks for the info im just not wanting to hammer down and wear out my internals by being to tight or noisy from to short. 98Cayenne how was your ptv clearance with your cam? Im going to check that next after i get my pushrods.

With the heads milled .030" and running a .040" head gasket I had .040" ptv intake and .065" ptv exhaust. I ended up cutting .030" valve reliefs.

When ya get to measuring ptv here is a thread they might help out. You can do it with your adjustable push rod checker also

Mine aren't milled and stock gasket, hoping to not have to flycut unless i have to. Plan on rebuilding bottom end next winter so trying to get back together for this year. Spent all my money on suspension and top end this winter. What kind of power are you getting out of your setup?

Don't really know. My track times are 11.2 @ 121 mph banging the limiter in each gear due to trans issues
