looking for forged rods as well as forged pistons plan on sticking with 243 head like to have 700 rwhp. any recommendations on rods as well as pistions. I heard that pistons are limited for the lc9 tia

 

I’m doing the same build. Check out the Brian Tooley custom “built for boost” forged pistons for the 5.3. They are built for a 3.80 bore. So as long as your LC9 hasn’t been bored and doesn’t have big gouges in it for the rebuild...these are some beauty pistons.

For rods...you have a few options. I went with the K1 forged rods.

Good luck! I’m filing my rings to gap now. Having fun with my build. Putting it in a ‘67 Chevy C10 pickup and plan to put about 10-15 psi of boost to it.
