retainers/locks, Ferrea or other ?
Any pros or cons vs regular small locks and retainers, vs what Ferrea tend to sell which is a much larger valve lock and matching retainer ?
I've a couple of sets here, so could use either really. One set is a flat top retainer with standard size locks I believe, and the Ferrea have much larger locks with a retainer with some shape to it.
Not that shape matters I guess ?

Valve Lock size.
Hi Steve, I often fit SuperTech items.
I do not understand your "different size" remark.
I use 7* locks (bead lock) NOT 10* locks, is this what you state ?

Picture of what I have.
Left retainers/locks are from my old Trickflow heads that used Ferrea valves...so I assume these are also Ferrea ?
Right are from some old WCCH Edelbrocks I used way back in 2006, but also the same as another set of locks/retainers I have too....no idea where they came from though.
Also a little surprising...my TFS heads used F6234 intake, 2.055", on my shitty scales these weigh 114g each
The old Edelbrocks use REV CL-1175, same 2.055" but weigh only 105g each.
I cant afford new heads after what happened, so will just re-use these old Edelbrocks after throwing some new valves/springs etc into them. TBH not really sure why I stopped using them back around 2006/07 ! They're in much better condition than I remembered.
As they already had REV valves, just replacing with the same, albeit with inconel exhausts.
