Default LS 2 Head opinions

I'm looking to replace the heads on my LS2. It currently has a Texas Speed Torquer 2 234/234 .595/598 112 lsa, dual spring Titanium retainers, Fast 102 MM intake/fuel rails, Nick Williams Throttle body and kooks long tube headers. Currently has 445 at the wheels. I'm trying to get to 500 naturally aspirated. I'm looking at the Advanced Induction 226 or the Texas Speed 227. Anyone have an experience with these heads in a similar set up?

Thanks!

My buddy who has a 06 GTO made exactly 445 rwhp with that same Torquer 2 cam, stock heads, and a Fast 92. He switched to a bigger cam and Mast 215 heads with all else being the same. He made 495 rwhp after that.

TFS 225s are proven on LS2 SB. Fast 92 or 102 to top it off.

AI 226 CnC factory 243's are cost effective, and have been tested to perform just about as well as costlier pieces. you can't go wrong with them. I have a set on my own car.

TEA stage 2, ported 243s have great reviews. They do replace the valves. You can have them turn down LS3 intakes to save weight.

Default Ls-2 = 500 hp all stock inside

Hi 27, the LS-2 will produce 500 HP, all OEM inside, dyno with DINO present, a Dealer Rep.

I was the first to make 600 HP (bench) with a LS-1 (347) with flat tops, 236/242 .580/.560 116 C/L AND AFR Heads

The stated changes, yours, should allow you to produce 650HP. (LS-2)

Lance

I've been researching the same, which heads to put on a sbe LS2. I have seen countless threads about TFS 225 cnc heads with the G6X3 camshaft making 500RWHP. This seems to have very repeatable results. Of course Fast 92 or Fast 100 intake, 92/100 TB, 1-7/8" Long Tubes, Hardened 7/16 pushrods, etc is necessary. Most also mill the TFS heads down to 60-62cc as well, and some run cometic .040's, to get optimal quench. It seems most of these sbe LS2's have the pistons about .005-.006 out of the hole, so .040 cometics provide the "ideal" .035 +/- quench.
