5.3 DOD delete question

hi all. I’m putting a 08 5.3 in my old truck. Changed the cam and wanted to change the top cover and get rid of the dod cover. The oil pressure sending unit is in the dod cover. The replacement covers don’t look like it has a place for the oil pressure sending unit. How do Install a pressure sending unit? Thanks. Jim

Don't ALL Gen IV valley covers have the sensor in the back behind the intake? I don't think I've seen a LS cover that didn't have an oil pressure sensor hole.

Just get a LS2 valley cover and be done.

Thanks .. looked on eBay and all the aftermarket covers look like there isn’t a boss for the sending unit. I found the ls2 covers have it.. ordered. ��
