118k miles was all that was on it.

Yeah that is a bit early compared to typical LS timing set wear, but not outside reality.

Never seen a timing chain jump an any variant of the LS engine. I don't even see how it's possible unless the sprocket teeth are nearly worn off from maintenance neglect.

You probably floated the valves.

Ya I seriously doubt it jumped teeth on the the timing set. Floated valves sure but I've pulled apart plenty of 200k ls engines and the chains are always perfect as well as the gears.

Here's the thing I bout it the day before and drove it to work the next day no hot roding it just drove it 70 75 on interstate on my way home just running 55 it just quit no noise no running rough no cel just quit. And it was running perfectly no problem at all.

OK, if it was running fine and then PFFFT no more, SOMETHING broke RIGHT NOW. I'm thinking timing set failure. Either skipped teeth or a chain link flat broke, bringing the cam to a quick halt. Maybe the key on the crank broke or sheared, or the bolt holding the sprocket to the cam got loose, or SOMETHING, but it failed or broke.

LS motors don't normally have timing chain issues. I bet someone worked on it at some point and screwed something up, this sounds like human error may be involved.

Throw a fit with the car lot you got it from hopefully they take it back or pay for the repair.

If not, hopefully you're only out some valves, a timing set, and some gaskets.
