LSA oil pump, yay or nay?
i haven't been able to confirm yet but I believe the engine comes with a production LSA oil pump. I'll be using an Improved Racing baffled F body pan. Do you guys see any reason why I shoudn't keep this pump? I'd probably void the warranty by changing it, but i doubt GM will honor a warranty once the motor sees boost anyway, so protecting my investment is more important to me.
still, if the pump will do the job I'd rather not change it.

Thanks, I'll be honest, I only found it mentioned that it used an LSA pump from one Chevy Hardcore article
https://www.chevyhardcore.com/tech-s...at-chevy-perf/
"With the crankshaft and camshaft in place, the roller timing chain setup is installed, after which the high-volume, wet-sump oil pump from the LSA production engine is installed on the crank snout."
Other than that, I have found no mention of any oil pump part number listed anywhere on Chevrolet's website or any summit/pace/jegs spec list I have seen. I even thought maybe it didn't include one, but I don't think GM would really warranty a motor with a pick-it-yourself oil pump. It kind of made sense to me they'd use an LSA pump, but I didn't think of the oil squirters, although a high volume pump would seem to make sense given the nature of these B15 motors. If that were the case, the only thing that would scare me is using a HV pump with a 5.5qt pan.
I'll see if I can get a more definitive answer from GM or Summit/Jegs/Scoggin Dickey on what pump PN is actually in there.
