Default Ls2 403 problems

Hi, I just installed a ls2 stroker in my 99 ss camaro, the short block was built by a sponsor, I also had them install and degree the cam. The problem is they installed a 4x cam gear, with 24 tooth reluctor wheel, so my tach won't work. Also it seems to run well, but runs out of power around 2500 or so rpm. A few people have told me the cam timing may be off. I have a dyno appt next week, and don't want to drive 5 hours round trip if it's not right. I have drove it less than 200 miles don't really want to hurt something. The only code in the computer is for the cam sensor. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you access the front timing cover easily and replace with a 2X Cam gear?

They sell a harness to convert the 4X for the early PCM as well. That might be easier. I believe it's Katech who sells this extension harness for your cam reluctor wheel in the front, rather than the top/back of the block.
That should fix you right up.
