You know you didn't get Screwed....as it's Thompson and there good people. SH^! happens! It's happened before and it will happen again. You Know the end Results and you didn't get Screwed. Have a Snickers your acting like a diva right now. LOL! ! Luckily I can get anything done or made Local which is truly a blessing. Thompson got you dude that's no BS named shop either. Aka Mark Stielow Camaro's plural in count of engine builds for his cars. They (TMS) would want to check it over before something happens which is good your just having to ship it. You could have had TMS do the entire build.....your not local. Again stuff happens. When you get it back keep it moving.
If your gonna cry about it,what's the baby gonna do
Your good dude.

Patron, wrong builder for Mark. He used Thomson, with no P. That shop sold.

Mark has been working with Brian Thompson at Thompson Automotive in Wixom, Michigan, for his last few engine builds.
I try to remember everything.....Mamo's the reason I got the oil pump I got (still looking for the article)with some sucking the pan dry with the HV.....Long time ago.... You know how when you know something, but can't find it, as it's what made you look at something differently.

Not sure where that spelling came from. Brian Thomson at Thomson Automotive, in Wixom Michigan. Brian Thomson, Mark Steillow, and Kyle Tucker (Detroit Speed, North Carolina) all went to college together. Along with Horace Mast believe it or not. Brian built all of Marks stuff up until his last Camaro, which he put a crate LT4 in, because Brian sold his shop. I think I read that Lingenfelter actually bought Thomson’s stuff, but don’t quote me on that one.
Thompson (Texas) used to get confused with Thomson (Michigan) all the time on many forums that I frequent.

That's how they've spelled it pretty much in every article I've ever read dealing with Mark. That line it self was from a article that's on the web. But I'm with you on what you said. Didn't mean any confusion with the oil pump statement. Still looking.....not really, but if I run across a Mamo build from a article i'll look closer than normal...

It is here and on a stand as of yesterday being torn down to find the culprit. We will see what the issue is and find the cause and resolution that will then give us a better timeline on repair.

Heh, well. Just got off the phone with Kyle. No idea why the LS3 was so angry, he is thinking it was something internal to the block. So screw that engine. Next week he'll be shipping CSP a forged 402 to throw in the old girl.

Something something egg and chickens. I'll call it a happy ending when its in, tuned, and broken in without incident. But, we're getting somewhere, i guess. I'm just hoping to get out of this soon without dumping more money into it. Every time i make a phone call, my wallet gets lighter, and my garage is still empty. (Sorry, just bitching...)

Christmas came early this year!
She came home this morning. A thumping new 402 under her hood. It wasn't without it's drama. About a mile from my house the oil pressure drops to 0, and lights go crazy on the dash. Blah blah blah, replaced the oil pressure sending unit, boom tons of pressure.
In fact, this little girl loves oil pressure. CSP removed the DOD baffle in the oil pan, and TMS installed a high volume pump on the 402. So it idles at 45 psi, and shoots up to 70 psi during normal driving. Happy and healthy.
It's in the break in period now. Just a safe, fat tune for right now. They even put in a 4500 rpm rev limiter in case i get punchy. I have to put about 500 miles on her and then I'll head back north for a full dyno tune.
So here's a few glamour pics of her homecoming, and quick video of the new exhaust setup. I had CSP install a magnaflow mid-muffler while she was there, to help tone down the solo axle backs. So now best of both worlds, drone-less Magnaflow. Sounds pretty good IMO.
