Afm help
So had a 2007 6.0 avalanche with afm with no power and lifter tapping. Replaced vlom , 8 new afm lifters and 8 new ls7 style lifters. 50 miles later, back to running the same again... Any thoughts before saying do a afm delete...
Thanks in advance

How's the oil pressure? If low, that would de-pressure the DOD lifters and put you in 4 cyl mode.
Seriously, DOD/AFM is a can of worms best deleted. We have a suburban with DOD and I notice the only time it's in 4 cyl mode is on decel, or coasting, when fuel is hardly used anyway. And since Avalanches are basically a cut-down Suburban, the same would apply to them. Deleting AFM/DOD would hardly affect fuel economy.

Ended up blowing my mind what it was... Thanks to mellings site and info from afm lifters... Gave me an explanation that was a long shot in dark but found the cause... Bc 1 week later... Same afm lifter again! I really do not think many ppl encountered what I did on that ly6 6L
