What LS engine do I have? A quick guide. Folks, we created this guide a couple years ago to help people quickly drill down into what engine they have. Many of you know this already, but wanted to post this as it comes up once in a while from people coming to LS1tech for answers. Here's a link. It basically lets you click buttons based on visuals like the timing cover, valley cover, iron/aluminum block, intake, etc. Those eventually land into guide articles that get into the finer details by engine code.
We also added our Summit LS Selector that shows features by the 56 distinct engine codes for Gen. 3/4/5 at the time of this writing. It includes the newest L82/L84/L8T variants. We will continue to update as more information becomes available.
