Default timing gear question

I had an LH6, but it turned out to need a rebuild so I picked up a LY6 short block. We're using the dampener from the 5.3 instead of the 6.0 tensioner. I don't know what ecu I'm using yet, probably MS3 or Terminator. I'm using a three bolt cam, can I use the timing gear with the 4 raised sections and get the later sensor or do I need to use the gear with the half circle raised section? The front covers are the same, right?

Thanks

The LY6 has the 58x reluctor wheel so you will need the gear with the 4 raised sections unless you were looking to convert to drive by cable. The front cover will work with that engine

Thank you. That's what I thought, but want to be sure before it's all together and in the car.
