Smile Beehive Springs Do They Break?

I have heard different stories that Beehive springs break? Just curious what's the story, do they breakdown at high rpm, or do people try to use them with too heavy of valve train components?

Thanks!

Any valve spring can break,, The only B-hive springs I've seen broken were installed too tight.
Only had minimal experience on it, but it seems like those springs need cut deep on most heads by design.

Total guess.. YMMV

Some of the Comp 918's were prone to failure a few year back, but the PAC beehives are pretty popular and seem to be pretty reliable.

Psi springs seem to hold up also - beehive or dual.

If good quality and used/installed correctly...no real reason for them to break.

ALL production LS engines use beehives. No rampant breakage problems with them.
