Default Cam sensor is hitting the timing gear!

Just had the motor rebuilt with afm delete and vvt delete. About to put it back in and notice the cam sensor will not go all they way in because it hits the timing gear. Help please!

Unfortunately I dont know until tomorrow! I have to call the guy that built it for me. I can see the numbers o. The gear through the sensor hole. I thought about trying reference them to see what gear it is if this guy doesn't have an idea.

I already said something to him and he thought maybe I needed a different sensor. I have the same sensor that's is in the kits and nobody else seems to have an issue. Just looking for some ideas.
