I mean just read what these factory hydraulic lifters are intended for. Again Bortous not trying to dish you but some of the stuff you repeatedly spew is not factual......
These new higher RPM factory hydraulic roller lifters were developed for the Cadillac CTS-VR racing program and allow better valve control at higher RPM's up to 8,000 - 8,500 RPM. The CTS-VR hydraulic roller lifters have a ceramic check ball and are often referred to as the ceramic check ball lifters. These are a direct replacement for all LS1, LS2, LS3, and LS6. LS7 engines. These Chevrolet Performance hydraulic roller lifters are designed as direct replacements for your engine. These lifters were designed for use by GM to be used in performance engine builds and incorporate improved valving to allow higher rpm capability- what more can you ask for? Sold as a set of 16 lifters. Needs to Scuff bowtie logo and Black Oxide finish off top of push rod cap to “Look Stock” with scuffy pad.

I'm not going to answer for him but I will add this. Most of the class race engines have a RPM limit and a cam that is on the mild side and they aren't trying to make 700+hp, They are not going to run a cam nearly as aggressive as a sprint car (Op's cam choice won't cut it). Solid lifters are 25 grams lighter / Make more power / Stable at higher rpms/ Less likely to fail / Do not lose lift when oil is aerated.

Baby SS4 hydraulic set up with used btr .660 springs. LS7 lifters. This will give you an idea of your power potential with the baby cam. After the cam swap they pick up some more power. This pos struggled to get to 7500. Good info for you op on intake choices as well.......

Do the class rules determine limits on bore, stroke, or head choice?

If you can find me any builder who would recommend to turn a hydraulic roller setup to 8200rpm let me know.
It probably can be done but will it be reliable?
Those ctsv lifters you state will offer better valve control.
I noticed you say "better" which means you will be safer with a solid setup.
No plunger losses and takes out all the slack in the system.
If class rules require hydraulic setups then by all means do it.
However the op wants to rev to to 7500rpm.
He can do these with the short travel high rpm lifters from isky or Johnson.
It is wise to not exceed to max rpm that the lifter is rated for.
Everything needs to be within spec.

steady hand out advice and yours is still......... I’ll wait. I’m the retard that has done things that made you question it’s possibilities. You’ll catch on one day. Just because the post count is low doesn’t mean the knowledge is not there. Please give fletcher made horsepower a call. His motors are successful with LS7 lifters winning races at the dirt track. It’s guys like you that spew the same **** over and over and believe it’s factual. 7500 rpm isn’t **** for a LS it hasn’t been for 20 years. The omg don’t turn it past 6500 crowd held it back. Give gwatney performance a call as well on their LS builds with hydraulics that spin 7500+ to. If you refer to your own thread your knowledge is shown as you ask every cam grinder in America for specs, chase imaginary valve float and struggle to achieve your kilowatt output you strive for.

you can dish out cam specs like a champ to everyone who wants one but you can’t spec your own............ hmmmmm. Not attacking just use your head a bit mate. Sometimes reading instead of posting is of value too.

The class im looking at is a development series and handicap positioning based on performance. We often see 360 sprintcars compete very competitive against 410s due to how slick the tracks get in the main 410 class.

This engine was develop by Shaver Engines and Donny Schatz back 10 years ago but never took off due to it being 427ci, rather than the require 410ci size. Im trying to replicate a similar engine less the dry sump if absolutely needed.

Lol.
I did spec my own camshaft and it worked well. I had assistance from other members on here before I made the decision.
Only changed it because I wanted to go solid roller and wanted Pat G to do it. Pat G's recommendation was so close to mine with only a 1 degree difference in valve events.
There was also another guy that I gave a cam spec too for his pro charged vehicle and he was thrilled with the results.
You might remember that post.
And yeah, reading and posting are both of value.

I run a class called modified production in Australia. One of my cars is the same as your chevy ss over in the states. Once stripped down and ready to race the car with me in it weighs 3000lbs. We use V6 or straight six engines with injection 98 fuel, if you run a carb fuel is methanol. I run a GM/holden V6 ecotech which puts out 360rwhp. Engine must be same bore, stroke, throttle body and intake manifold as from factory. All other engine parts no regs, whatever you like.
Not a hope in hell id have it hydraulic. Its solid roller , biggest scariest cam we could think of , rev limiter kicks in at 9500rpm.

The OP is racing ,RACING, not dickin around on the street, so solid rollers a must and stick a 290-300/300-310 850+ lift cam and rev it to the moon. Your mech injection and intake manifold you can use can lap it up. Hydraulic roller !!! yeh rite !!!!

So what would be your rpm limit with a hydraulic roller for racing?

You need a solid roller, 14:1 or better, and some bad to the bone heads. If you have 4.125 bore go LS7 heads. You are going against blank checks with a $15k budget.

You guys are missing my argument completely. stating a hydraulic will struggle to rev to 7500 is just FALSE. OP should take the advice given and build his motor with the best parts for his task at hand no doubt to be competitive. Bort do some reading and be cautious of handing out internet rumors.

You literally asked for a known builder doing this and I give you what you ask for. You ever see the movie A Few Good Men. You cant handle the truth lol this is my last post as I typically keep my thoughts of this nature to myself.
