I recently did a valve spring replacement on my LS2. I never really look forward to this kind of job, working in cramped spaces and small parts and storing a good deal of energy in things such as springs. Anyway, my recent experience with the Bluegrass valve spring compressor was nothing but positive. The design uses robust materials, it is easy and effective to use and just simply makes a tedious job easier to do. I did have to "adjust" by a few degrees the main bolt that holds down the compressor fingers to more correctly match the angle of the valves. I kept it well lubed and it never caused a problem. It is great to be able to do two valves at once. I also had to contact Bluegrass directly with a question once I received it and they responded right away. Also, the top plate has been redesigned since the pictures in the listing below were taken, it is now open on both ends. This actually makes it easier to use. It is made out of billet steel and billet aluminum with grade 10 bolts and nuts.
This is the one I bought:

I paid less than that though using the "make an offer" feature. They shipped promptly. The set comes with an extra main bolt and nut and washer. Anyway, I felt it necessary to give kudos to a company selling a quality tool for a reasonable price.
