I wouldn't spend $50k on an LS or any engine. Just not worth it to me, I like bang for the buck and a 5.3L is hard to beat for that. Maybe when all the 5.3's are gone I'll look towards J series swaps since they make the same power, even lighter and can still use a Holley lid.

All you have to do is dream man.

You don't need to be stingy in your thoughts.

I have to admit I’ve been looking at race car rollers and there’s no way you can build one for anything close to what some are selling for right now.

I’m also on pace to make more than I’ve ever made in a year. We are always short and no one wants to work so the overtime is unlimited and I never miss work.

50k! Can I divide it among 20 projects? But seriously Why have none of you JY folks build a front mount Tri-Turbo system on a log? 3 turbos poking out of the grill? Tell me that wouldn't perform for peanuts! And be an eye catcher! What's the hold up! Don't make me do it!

This was a friends project with 3 $94 54mm turbos that i inspired... never came to be...

Nothing would get me out of the scene faster then having to deal with a heat pump.

Perhaps because a single 80 is lighter, close to the same price and performs better.

I also must be getting old because I'm over the turbos and exhaust poking out the front of the car. I threw a $40 Totalflow 18in body muffler on and quieted my car down perfectly and only gave up 11lbs, seems perfectly reasonable!

I actually have a brodix aluminum block thats been blown apart a few different times i use as a mockup block. I often think about finding out what it would take to make it usable for a ~900-1000hp na motor.

You don’t compound like sized turbos.. or need manifold pressures like a diesel. With them all in parallel you get the LBS per Min of a big turbo for a tiny price tag… and it would look cool! Three .63 T3 $135 GT35 clones would boogie IMO.

That's just extra work! 3 on a log man, I'm tell'n U! Simple and effective!

Zero wow factor for one! No reason they couldn't share a common exhaust or be quiet. 3 GT35s would be $405. Who knows how it would perform honestly. No ones done it... GT35 is listed at 19lbs shipping weight. I'm seeing a S480 listed as 48lbs? Sure it's a tad over complicated, and possibly performs no better... or worse than an S480. Just think it would be interesting and different.

I hear you on the getting old thing. I have 2 3" cutouts on my twin setup. And then have full 2.25" crush bent exhaust back to a factory 4cyl mustang exhaust from walker all the way out the back.

If you guys are just getting there then I must be REALLY old for my age. I've always ran full axle back exhaust with mufflers on my turbo LS stuff.....but they've always had a cutout

I like this idea. Have Hogan’s to build the intake out of sheet. Would fit under the hood of my Chevelle. I’d drive it to my dads house and lay a 300’ burnout in the street out front...
